RE: MODULE 4: Computing FINAL MEMO

In this memo, I will discuss how I arrived at a final design for the Computing Module. This is based on feedback from my peers on the Computing Proposal as well as the personal challenges faced.

Message

The objective of this post is to share a comparison of Web 1.0 and Web 2.0. With feedback from my peers, I decided to narrow it down and create a basic infographic based on the social traits & human interactions of these technologies.

Target Audience

The target audience for this project is students and instructors of the IDT 507 Information Technologies course.

Platform

I continued to use the WordPress blogging platform for this project and created an infographic using Adobe Spark Post.

Design Considerations

Rather than a regular written blog post for this module, I wanted to create an infographic. I stuck with this choice and included the final design as an embedded image on the blog.

Design Challenges

I had a really hard time figuring out Adobe Illustrator which was the output of choice and used Adobe Spark Post as an alternative. This platform provides templates as well as blank canvases for customization. There is also an app to update and edit the post from my phone during my commute to/from work which was really helpful.
